While editing at Zelda Wiki, you will often see initialisms of the Zelda games' titles. Though Zelda Wiki prohibits using the initialisms in articles, they are used for brevity in many templates – namely the game link shortcuts – as well as in file names. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with these initialisms when you begin contributing to Zelda Wiki.
Standard Initialisms
These are the standard initialisms used by Zelda Wiki. In filenames, please use the standard initialism and not another variant (for example, use "ALttP" and not "LttP"). For templates, it usually doesn't matter which one you use.
The initialisms constitute the subtitle of the game with lowercase prepositions, except the first letter which is always uppercase. The "T" in "The" is included. The initialism may be shortened from the full subtitle in cases where the latter is particularly long.
